Over the years we’ve developed a special website recipe for headshot photographers. Cooking instructions and ingredients are listed below.

Button in the header that takes the user to the next step of your sales funnel.

STICKY HEADER

The header area should scroll with the website keeping the CTA at the top of the page while scrolling.

The only link in the navigation should be your CTA. All other links belong in the footer.

NO HOME BUTTON

Your website shouldn’t have a home button in the navigation. That’s what the logo is for.

BRANDING

BRANDING

FONTS & COLORS

Fonts & colors should be consistent across your website. This also applies to font sizes. Too much variation diminishes your brand.

VOICE

A consistent voice (I vs we) makes your content more clear and feels more polished. The more trust you can build the more clients you’ll have.

LOGO

A cheap or cliché looking logo diminishes your brand. When in doubt, go for simple. Simple is often perceived as minimalist and clean.

VIBE

Vibe is a gut reaction. It’s a combination of trust, style, and taste. Your vibe should attract your target audience.

HOT AF

HOT

MEDIUM

MILD

WEAK

THE HEAT INDEX

The heat index is broken up into 5 levels ranging from WEAK to HOT AF. This is admittedly subjective, but if you want to win the website game, you’ve got to add the heat.  The heat index will be applied to the following categories:

BRANDING, SEO, FUNNEL, USER EXPERIENCE, & MESSAGE.

HOW HOT IS HEADSHOT HOT SAUCE?

It’s hot AF! Everything we do in Headshot Hot Sauce is designed to help you fire up your headshot business. The hot sauce is just a metaphor for a job well done. The harder you work, the hotter your results and the more money you’re going to make. It’s not going to happen over-night, but the hot sauce speeds up the process.

WHAT IS HEADSHOT HOT SAUCE?

At its core, HEADSHOT HOT SAUCE is a community of headshot photographers that want to grow their headshot businesses. We facilitate that by having real discussions about all things sales and marketing with a strong focus on your website.

HOW DO I GROW MY HEADSHOT BUSINESS?

It all starts with the website. Your website is the heart of your marketing campaign. It’s the heart of your business. If your website has problems, your business will too.

WHAT AM I PAYING FOR?

Great question! It’s all about community here. Like-minded people with like-minded problems. You get access to both the private community and the weekly live coaching.

WHY SHOULD I SIGN UP? IS IT WORTH IT?

If you’re into headshot photography, you should sign up for HEADSHOT HOT SAUCE. It’s never too soon to be working on your website. SEO takes time. Dialing in your messaging takes time. Understanding the data takes time.

IS IT HARD? (that's what she said)

Yes, success is hard. This is just a qualifier question. If you’re offended by this comment, you probably won’t fit in.

WHEN IS THE LIVE CONTENT?

Mondays at 7 Central. All of the content is recorded and available via replay within 24hrs.

WHAT'S THE SECRET RECIPE?

There’s no secret recipe. That’s just good marketing. The truth is that it’s hard work. That said, HEADSHOT HOT SAUCE, will make it easier.

WILL YOU DO IT FOR ME?

If that’s what you’re looking for, we’re probably not a good fit. You’ve got to want it enough to be willing to put in the work.
